Fall is here.
Well, not quite in Missouri--
You can't wear all those cozy boots & scarves quite yet. Hopefully soon though.
But, I decided to do a fall bucket list. This ways I don't miss any awesome fall activities.
I will check each one off with a dry erase marker as I do them. Hopefully, I can do them all this fall!
I saw on a blog that you can make your own scentsy bars. I needed some new fall scents, so I thought I would give it a whirl!
I went to wal-mart & bought a pumpkin spice candle. I made a double boiler. Now the melting of the wax process took a while. So, be patient!
It's Working!
After, the candle is melted down to wax. Pour them into ice cube trays & stick them into the freezer to harden.
Pop them out of the ice cube trays & you have homemade scentsy bars!
Don't forget there is only 1 week left to get entered into the giveaway. I will draw the winner next Tuesday.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
There has been some confusion as how to enter the giveaway, hopefully this helps clear things up.
Click on the giveaway & put in your email or facebook. Then, click the do it buttons. Because the giveaway doesn't force you to do those things. You must actually go & do those things such as follow my blog, comment on my blog, or like my facebook page. Otherwise, your giveaway entry will be deleted from the contest
On the other hand following my blog, commenting on my blog or liking my facebook page doesn't automatically enter you into my giveaway. You must go to this link & log in with facebook or your email. Then, click the do it buttons.
Thanks Everyone! Hope you have a great rest of the week & happy fall!!!

Love your blog! You always have awesome ideas posted and great pics!
ReplyDeleteWalmart wax smells NOTHING like yummy Scentsy!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes but this DIY way is A LOT LESS than paying Scentsy prices!!! I think this is a great idea, and I;m sure many on Pintrest will appreciate it too :)
DeleteIf you use these in your Scentsy warmer it will void the lifetime warranty on them.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea however, they are not Scentsy bars. Scentsy is a brand, so saying you are making Scentsy bars is incorrect. I would rather pay the price for awesome quality and $5.00 for a Scentsy bar is well worth is. I would not put anything but Scentsy in my warmer, that will void the Life time guarantee that scenty has on their products.
ReplyDeletehaha lovin all the scentsy rep coments ^ this is a great idea, i actually just did it for the first time two days ago because of a tutorial like this i saw on pinterest. I used my candles that the wicks had burned out of and then used the empty cut glass containers for storing cute stuff :). ps just to make the haters happy change the "scentsy" name to melting bars or something :D
ReplyDeletethis is NOT close to scentsy. scentsy wax is made so diffrent, and is nontoxic to pets and children, if you burn a candle you notice the black rings it leaves around things this is the toxins in the was also scentsy is more expensive but for every cube of wax you use you get 8 hours of burning that is 64 hours of burning per 5 dollars. I honestly LOVE SCENTSY AND yup this is just not it. And yes I AM A REP FOR SCENTSY LOL
ReplyDeleteAND YES IF YOU USE THIS IN YOUR SCENTSY WARMER YOU VOID THE WARRENTY AND ALSO THE WALMART BRAND WARMERS ARE RECALLED FOR STARTING HOUSE FIRES JUST SAYIN.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the good idea, Lauren. I also add a few drops of essential oil to the wax.
ReplyDeleteHoarding is not the just like as being slob. One large NEMA-12
